East Brunswick High School Field Hockey Summaries

October 19, 2007: Sayreville 2, East Brunswick 1

East Brunswick suffered a dissappointing loss in the first round of the Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament to Sayreville. The Bombers scored first when
Danielle Hoyte scored with an assist from Lanie Andrews. Patrice Resch evened up the game for East Brunswick with an assist from Jamie Hatala. With 12:07 left
in the game, Chrissy Celeto scored the winning goal for Sayreville.
East Brunswick is now 9-7-1 for the season.

October 17, 2007: East Brunswick 5, South Plainfield 2

Senior night was especially sweet for senior forward Patrice Resch who scored 4 goals in the game’s first 20 minutes. The Bears added another first
half goal by Elyssa Gotkin to take a commanding 5-0 lead at the half. Kelly Rensing and Andrea Lozarito each scored for South Plainfield, but that was as
close as they could come. Sara Samuels had 11 saves for the Bears.
East Brunswick is now 9-6-1 for the season and will play Sayreville in the Greater Middlesex Tournament on Friday 10/19.

October 12, 2007: Monroe 2, East Brunswick 1

The Bears got a goal from Kristian Trimboli with an assist from Morgan.
East Brunswick is now 7-6-1 for the season.

September 28, 2007: East Brunswick 1, Metuchen 0

East Brunswick won an important victory over Metuchen with a goal by Elyssa Gotkin off a feed by Patrice Resch with five minutes left in regulation.
Sara Samuels had three saves as goalkeeper.
East Brunswick is now 5-3-1 for the season.

September 26, 2007: East Brunswick 3, Piscataway 1

The game was scoreless for the first 8 minutes, but then Sara Parker scored for East Brunswick. In the second half, Patrice Resch and Kaitlyn Loeffler
added a goal each to put the game on ice.
Sara Samuels had six saves as goalkeeper.
East Brunswick is now 4-3-1 for the season.

September 15, 2007: East Brunswick 2, Old Bridge 2 (2OT)

Each team scored one goal in each half of regulation and neither team could score in the two overtime periods. Sara Parker had a goal and
an assist for East Brunswick. The other goal for East Brunswick was scored by Patrice Resch.
Sara Samuels had 14 saves as goalkeeper.
East Brunswick is now 2-1-1 for the season.

09/10/2007 – East Brunswick 3, South Brunswick 2

East Brunswick had to struggle, but with two goals by Patrice Resch and a goal from
Jamie Hatala, East Brunswick was able to win a come from behind victory over South Brunswick. Sara Samuels had seven saves as goalkeeper for the
Bears. East Brunswick is now 2-1 for the season.

09/8/2007 – East Brunswick 2, Westfield 1

East Brunswick had to battle against Westfield, but in the end, Kristin Trimboli’s second
half goal proved to be the game winner. She was assisted on the play by Elyssa Gotkin.
Jamie Hatala also scored in the first half for East Brunswick. East Brunswick is now 1-1 for the season.

September 7, 2007: Metuchen 1, East Brunswick 0

East Brunswick suffered a disappointing loss in the season opener against Metuchen. The game was scoreless with only
a minute left in regulation when Nikki Gassaway scored for Metuchen. East Brunswick goal keeper Samuels had 10 saves.
East Brunswick is now 0-1 for the season.
