2014 Girls Soccer GMC Championship: East Brunswick 1, Old Bridge 0

East Brunswick once again proved they they are the most dominant team in the Greater Middlesex County Conference. Old Bridge put up a great effort and was able to threaten East Brunswick numerous times, especially in the first half. The game was tied at zero well into the second half, but with about 6 minutes left in the game, Sydney Rosa of East Brunswick once again proved that they are the ‘best of the best’ and scored the only goal of the game kicking the ball directly at goalie Nicole Carbone’s legs. The ball bounced off and rolled slowly into the goal just out of reach of the goalie. Old Bridge was not able to mount any serious threat as the enthusiastic Bears didn’t let up a bit and continued to threaten Old Bridge until the game ended.
