May 8, 2007 – Edison 1, East Brunswick 0
East Brunswick had their eight game winning streak snapped against Edison who now has an eight game
winning streak. The two teams are now tied for second place in the Greater Middlesex Conference Red Division.
In the first inning, East Brunswick pitcher Amanda Singer gave up hits to Alyssa Giuliano,
Meagan Nappe and Nicole Steiner to score what turned out to be the winning run. Amanda Singer then turned out the lights
and pitched five straight innings of no-hit softball. The problem for East Brunswick was that none of them could
touch Edison pitcher Michelle Jennings who got batter after batter to ground out aided by a fine defensive effort
by Edison. East Brunswick is now 14-5 for the season.
May 7, 2007 – East Brunswick 3, Colonia 2
East Brunswick held off a seventh inning rally by Colonia to gain their eigth straight victory.
Melanie Morrison hit an RBI triple in the first inning and Alyssa McCulloch hit an RBI double. Melanie Morrison
ended up 2 for 2 with two triples. Amanda Singer struck out seven in the victory.
East Brunswick is now 14-4 for the season.
May 4, 2007 – East Brunswick 3, Perth Amboy 1
East Brunswick won their seventh straight game capitalizing off a two run home run by Marissa DellaValle and a one run
home run by freshman Carrie Wan. Melanie Morrison had a double and a triple for East Brunswick. Junior Sheena McCarthy picked up the win in her first varsity start as a pitcher with 6 strikeouts and only one walk.
East Brunswick is now 13-4 for the season.
May 4, 2007 – East Brunswick 11, Perth Amboy 0
East Brunswick won the first game in a double header with pitcher Amanda Singer striking out 11 of 17 batters she faced while giving up no walks. Melanie Morrison had three RBIs with a hit and two sacrifice fly’s. Katie Jankowski went 2 for
3 with two runs scored and an RBI for East Brunswick. Kristen Bennett got three RBI and scored two runs for the Bears
East Brunswick is now 12-4 for the season.
May 2, 2007 – East Brunswick 6, South Brunswick 0
East Brunswick got another phenominal performance from Amanda Singer who registered her eighth shutout of the season. The day after setting the school record with 24 strikeouts in a single game, she struck out 11 while only giving up 3 walks and two hits. Melanie Morison was 2 for 4 with and RBI and Brittany Busicchia was 2 for 3 with a run and and RBI. The Bears have now won five in a row!
East Brunswick is now 10-4 for the season.

Amanda Singer sets school single game record by striking out 24!!
April 30, 2007 – East Brunswick 5, J.P. Stevens 4
East Brunswick jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning and then both J.P. Stevens and East Brunswick
scored 2 runs in the third inning. The Bears padded their lead with two runs in the fifth which
held up despite J.P. Stevens scoring two runs in the sixth. Melanie Morrison and Marissa Dellavalle
hit triples for East Brunswick and Samantha Ur hit a double. Senior pitcher Amanda Singer struck out 6
batters, including the final two outs to end the game.
East Brunswick is now 9-4 for the season.
April 24, 2007 – East Brunswick 11, Piscataway 0
East Brunswick demolished Greater Middlesex Conference Red Division rival Piscataway with a deadly
combination of Amanda Singer’s untouchable pitching and a potent offense. Samantha Ur hit a grand slam in the bottom of the
fifth inning which trigger the mercy rule to cap a game in which she went 3 for 4 with a triple a home run and 5 RBIs. Also
hitting home runs for East Brunswick were Melanie Morrison and Alyssa McCulloch. Sheena McCarthy hit a triple for East Brunswick and
Marissa Dellavalle and Brittany Busicchia
had doubles for East Brunswick. Senior pitching ace Amanda Singer got the shutout victory.
East Brunswick is now 8-4 for the season.
April 24, 2007 – East Brunswick 3, Woodbridge 0
East Brunswick’s Alyssa McCulloch hit an RBI triple to help propel the Bears to victory.
Senior pitching ace Amanda Singer struck out 8 batters and walked two.
East Brunswick is now 7-4 for the season.
April 21, 2007 – Old Bridge 4, East Brunswick 0
East Brunswick played to a 0-0 tie through the regular 7 innings against the undefeated Old Bridge Knights.
Amanda Singer actually threw a no-hitter, but Old Bridge
scored four runs in the top of the eighth off errors. Amanda struck out 15 batters in the losing effort.
East Brunswick is now 6-4 for the season.
April 20, 2007 – East Brunswick 11, Nottingham 2
East Brunswick rolled out the power in addition to another dominating performance by Amanda Singer
who struck out 13 and only allowed three base runners. East Brunswick scored six runs in the second inning
Melanie Morrison knocked in two of them with a solid single. The Bears registered doubles by Melanie Morrison,
Marissa Dellavalle and K Bennett.
East Brunswick is now 6-3 for the season.
April 19, 2007 – East Brunswick 3, Edison 0
Amanda Singer had another great day, taking a perfect game into the sixth inning. She completed the game with seven strikeouts
while allowing only two walks and one hit. East Brunswick scored their three runs on a two out single by Sheena McCarthy in
the third inning which was followed by a two run double by Brittany Busicchia.
East Brunswick is now 5-3 for the season.
April 14, 2007 – Bridgewater-Raritan 3, East Brunswick 0
East Brunswick’s Amanda Singer gave up only two hits and 5 walks, but the hits were back to back doubles in the seventh
inning that put Bridgewater up by three. The Bears tried to mount a comeback and had the bases loaded with only one out in the
seventh inning, but were not able to get any runs in.
East Brunswick is now 4-3 for the season.
April 13, 2007 – East Brunswick 3, South Brunswick 0
East Brunswick’s ace pitcher Amanda Singer provided another demonstration of domination with 10 strike outs while only giving up
3 walks and 2 hits. Marissa DellaValle had two singles and scored twice for East Brunswick. Melanie Morrison and Alyssa McCulloch
each had RBI singles for the Bears.
East Brunswick is now 4-2 for the season.
April 11, 2007 – East Brunswick 5, J.P. Stevens 1
East Brunswick had a strong outing against Greater Middlesex Conference rival J.P. Stevens to win their third outing in a row.
Senior pitching ace Amanda Singer had 11 strike outs and only allowed four hits and three walks in the victory. Sheena McCarthy
hit a lead-off double in the second and scored on a single from Katie Jankowski. In the third inning, East Brunswick scored off a
bases loaded walk by Kim Staub and a RBI ground out by Samantha Ur. Marissa Dellavalle hit a two run double in the sixth to complete
the scoring.
East Brunswick is now 3-2 for the season.
April 10, 2007 – Peddie 6, East Brunswick 0
East Brunswick faced an impressive pitching demonstration by Peddie’s Cailyn Hennessy who did not give up a single
hit to the Bears all day. Amanda Singer struck out 7 in four innings for the Bears. East Brunswick is now 2-2 for the season.
April 9, 2007 – East Brunswick 15, Piscataway 0
East Brunswick was dominating against Piscataway, powered by Marissa Della Valle and Melanie Morrison who each had two hits
and scored two runs. East Brunswick’s Amanda Singer held Piscataway to two hits and no walks with 11 strikeouts.
East Brunswick is now 2-1 for the season.
April 5, 2007 – East Brunswick 3, Woodbridge 0
East Brunswick evened their season record with a win over Woodbridge. East Brunswick got another superb effort from pitcher
Amanda Singer who pitched a two hit shutout featuring 15 strike-outs. The game remained scoreless through 4 innings, but East Brunswick
scored in the bottom of the fifth and added two more runs in the sixth on a double by Melanie Morrison to put the game out of reach.
East Brunswick is now 1-1 for the season.
April 2, 2007 – Old Bridge 1, East Brunswick 0
East Brunswick lost the season opener in a pitching duel between Maureen O’Kane of Old Bridge and Amanda Singer of East Brunswick.
Maureen O’Kane had an eight inning shutout with two walks and eight strikeouts for Old Bridge, while Amanda Singer of East Brunswick
allowed just two hits and two walks while striking out 12. East Brunswick is now 0-1 for the season.
