November 10, 2006: East Brunswick 42, Trenton Central 6
East Brunswick played a fine game of football against Trenton Central in the NJSiAA consolation match. The Bears opened the scoring with Randall Nixon scampering in from 10 yards out. Trenton then scored on a 45 yard run, but failed on a two point try. The Bears defense smothered Trenton after that. East Brunswick rolled up 21 points in the second quarter. Justin Price recovered a fumble for a touchdown. Eric Eckhardt caught a 36 yard pass from Randall Nixon to put the Bears ahead 21-6 near the end of the half. East Brunswick however wouldn’t pass up an opportunity, so following a Trenton fumble, East Brunswick marched on down the field and scored on a pass from Randall Nixon to Eric Eckhardt. In the second half, East Brunswick scored on a 6 yard run by Mike Kelleman and a interception return by Dustin Schuld. With this victory, East Brunswick improves to 5-4 for the season and is looking forward to a shot at Old Bridge on Thanksgiving day.
