September 30, 2005 – North Brunswick 28, East Brunswick 14

East Brunswick had a tough time getting their running game on track against North Brunswick. The Bears started off the game with a 93 yard kick off return, but things bogged down from there. North Brunswick scored three unanswered touchdowns, including a touchdown at the end of the half on a play that looked like a sure quarterback sack. The Bears started strong in the second half and after a 79 yard touchdown pass to Eric Eckhardt and a two point conversion, things were looking up. In the following drive, the Bears drove down the field strongly but stalled just out of field goal range and turned over the ball on downs. When North Brunswick scored again making the score 28-14, the clock started working against the Bears and with two turnovers in the Bears final 3 possessions, it just wasn’t the Bears night. East Brunswick is now 2-2 for the season.
