East Brunswick Volleyball Game Summary

November 4, 2005 – GMCT Semifinals – East Brunswick defeats J.P. Stevens 25-17, 25-18

East Brunswick roared out to a fast 5-0 start with Andrea Temkin serving up ‘Aces’ and Anna Chesnakova dominating the net. J.P. Stevens fought back up to even, but when Michelle Sempkowski came up to serve, no one was surprised that the score was shortly 10-5. J.P. Stevens kept it pretty close, but with Melissa Favis serving ‘Aces’ and Michelle Sempkowski and Allanah Miller firing power shots, the Bears soon had the first game in the bag. In the second game, the Bears once again got off to a quick start. Andrea Temkin’s sets helped Marissa Nadeau and Kristen Semeniak register numerous kills. Jen Strapko was getting to everything and making perfect passes to her teammates. The Bears will play the GMC Finals Monday at J.P. Stevens. East Brunswick is now 23-1 for the season.
