East Brunswick looked like they were going to completely destroy Edison in the first period with Laura Petriello putting the Bears out to a 9-2 lead. Megan Mayo dashed down the court for a couple of quick lay-ups and at the end of the first period, East Brunswick was ahead 23-6. Edison did a fine job of sinking free throws to keep the game reasonable, but the Bears were a scoring machine. Scoring for the Bears were: Laura Petriello (23 pts), Jess Campbell (15 pts), Megan Mayo (9 pts), Candice Green (6 pts), Anna Chesnakova (4 pts), Kristie Lang (4 pts) Ali Riccio (2 pts) and Breanne DeFalco (2 pts). With the win, the Bears improve to 2-0 for the season.
