May 20, 2006 – NJSIAA Tournament – Vernon 12, East Brunswick 9

East Brunswick got off to a slow start, and couldn’t quite overcome a 5 goal halftime deficit in the second half. Shannon Mastrogiovanni had another amazing game, scoring 5 goals and an assist for East Brunswick. Amy Sacco scored two goals and Kristen Gash and Katie Colchie each added one. East Brunswick completed their season at 9-7.

May 15, 2006 – Greater Middlesex Conference Semifinals – Old Bridge 11, East Brunswick 4

East Brunswick lost a tough match to the 13-3 Old Bridge Knights. Scoring for East Brunswick were Amy Sacco, Shannon Mastrogiovanni, Kristen Gash, and Sarah Gross. Katie Colchie had two assists and Shannon Mastrogiovanni had one for the Bears. East Brunswick goalie Rachael Schneider had 7 saves. East Brunswick is now 9-6 for the season.

May 11, 2006 – Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament – East Brunswick 13, J.P. Stevens 1

East Brunswick had an easy time winning the quarter final round of the Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament with a victory over J.P. Stevens for the third time this year. Scoring for East Brunswick were Carolina Marrero (3), Shannon Mastrogiovanni (3), Kirsten Gash (2), Christina Kmiecik(2) and Lauren Onifer. Katie Colchie and Carolina Marrero had two assists each and Amy Sacco and Shannon Mastrogiovanni had one save apiece. East Brunswick goalies Rachael Schneider (7 saves) and Jillian Pennington (5 saves) also had a great day. East Brunswick is now 9-5 for the season.

May 8, 2006 – East Brunswick 10, Notre Dame 7

East Brunswick powered past Notre Dame lead by five goals and four assists from Shannon Mastrogiovanni. Scoring for East Brunswick were Shannon Mastrogiovanni (5), Amy Sacco (2), Lauren Onifer, Katie Colchie and Carolina Marrero. Goalie Rachael Schneider had 11 saves. East Brunswick is now 8-5 for the season.

May 5, 2006 – East Brunswick 12, Manalapan 0

Seniors day was very nice this year, not only did the weather cooperate with a beautiful day, but the game went very well for the Bears and six seniors scored goals: Katie Colchie (2), Samantha Silver (2), Amy Sacco, Sarah Gross, Rebecca Gross and Michelle Ruggrero. Shannon Mastrogiovanni, Carolina Marrero, Christina Kmiecik and Adda Gutma also scored for East Brunswick. East Brunswick is now 7-5 for the season.

May 3, 2006 – South Brunswick 11, East Brunswick 3

East Brunswick lost to a strong South Brunswick team which got a season high six goals from Alana Jogan. All three East Brunswick goals were scored by Shannon Mastrogiovanni. East Brunswick is now 6-5 for the season.

May 1, 2006 – Old Bridge 6, East Brunswick 5

East Brunswick lost a heart breaker to Old Bridge when Courtney McNallan of Old Bridge scored her fourth goal of the day. Lauren Onifer, Amy Sacco and Shannon Mastrogiovanni each had a goal and an assit for East Brunswick. The other two goals were scored by Kirsten Gash and Christina Kmiecik. East Brunswick is now 6-4 for the season.

April 26, 2006 – East Brunswick 14, J.P. Stevens 1

East Brunswick got 5 goals from Shannon Mastrogiovanni and four from Amy Sacco against J.P. Stevens. East Brunswick is now 5-3 for the season.

April 20, 2006 – East Brunswick 14, South Plainfield 3

East Brunswick easily handled South Plainfield on a beautiful day in East Brunswick. Scoring for East Brunswick were Shannon Mastrogiovanni (4), Amy Sacco (3), Kirsten Gash (3), Lauren Onifer, Carolina Marrero, Christina Kmiecik and Katie Colchie. Goalie Rachael Schneider (13 saves) and Pennington (1 save) had a fine day for the Bears. East Brunswick is now 4-2 for the season.

April 18, 2006 – East Brunswick 11, South Brunswick 10

East Brunswick won a wild game against top ranked South Brunswick on their home field. East Brunswick held on to win with a score in the final seconds by Lauren Onifer. Scoring for East Brunswick were Shannon Mastrogiovanni (3), Carolina Marrero (3), Katie Colchie (3), Lauren Onifer and Kirsten Gash. Goalie Rachael Schneider had 14 saves for the Bears. East Brunswick is now 3-2 for the season.

April 11, 2006 – Old Bridge 8, East Brunswick 5

East Brunswick jumped out to a 1-0 lead, but Old Bridge quickly struck back and outscored East Brunswick 6-3 in the first half. The best that East Brunswick could do in the second half was to hold their own. Scoring for East Brunswick were Carolina Marrero (2), Shannon Mastrogiovanni, Lauren Onifer and Katie Colchie. Goalie Rachael Schneider had 2 saves for the Bears. East Brunswick is now 2-1 for the season.

April 6, 2006 – East Brunswick 16, J.P. Stevens 3

East Brunswick dominated against J.P. Stevens. Scoring for East Brunswick were Shannon Mastrogiovanni 4, Katie Colchie 3, Sacco 2, Christina Kmiecik 2, Onifer, Marrero, Gash, Holton and Wasilus. Goalie Schnieder had 4 saves and Pennington 2 saves for the Bears. East Brunswick is now 2-1 for the season.

April 4, 2006 – North Brunswick 11, East Brunswick 10

East Brunswick lost a high scoring affair against North Brunswick. Scoring for East Brunswick were Marrero (3 goals), Katie Colchie (2 goals), Christina Kimicick (2 goals), Sacco, Mastro and Gross. Goalie Schnieder had 8 saves for the Bears. East Brunswick is now 1-1 for the season.

April 1, 2006 – East Brunswick 11, South Plainfield 4

East Brunswick roared out to a 9-3 lead at the half against South Plainfield. Samantha Silver had four goals for East Brunswick. Scoring for East Brunswick were Samantha Silver (4 goals), Mastro (3 goals), Holton, Marrero (2 goals), Sacco East Brunswick is now 1-0 for the season.
