November 3, 2007 – Greater Middlesex Conference Champions – East Brunswick 2, Old Bridge 1

East Brunswick had a scoreless first first half despite spending much of it in close proximity to the Old Bridge goal. Bari Guttman did a marvelous job
as goalie for Old Bridge making one great save after another. In the second half, East Brunswick was keeping up the pressure, but Old Bridge was
able to make a few quick dashes down the field. Eleven minutes into the second half, Old Bridge was able to get a direct kick from 15 yards which
Becky Bentley fired in to put Old Bridge up 1-0. East Brunswick seemed shocked that they were behind, but rather than panic, they just stepped up the game
to an even more intense level. After many failed attempts to tie the game, Morgan Brown was able to evade three defenders at the top of the box before
passing to Monnica Farag who was able to float in a shot from 15 yards out. East Brunswick kept up the attack and with 5 minutes left in the game,
Old Bridge was charged with a penalty for tripping Monnica Farag while shooting. Miriam Bestawros converted the kick to put the Bears on top to stay.
